Winter Weather Advisory
Issued by the National Weather Service at 5:52 am EST on January 7, 2009

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 10 am EST this
morning...

The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect until 10 am EST this
morning.

Freezing rain will continue early this morning. The precipitation
is expected to turn to mainly rain by mid morning as temperatures
nudge to just above freezing. This change over to rain should keep
total ice accumulations below a quarter of an inch... but ice
accretions of a tenth to two- tenths of an inch are still expected
in places.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving. Motorists should be especially cautious on bridges and
overpasses... where slippery spots develop first. Stay tuned to
NOAA Weather Radio or your favorite source of weather information
for the latest updates. Additional details can also be found at...
