Winter Weather Advisory
Issued by the National Weather Service at 3:02 am EST on January 7, 2009

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 10 am EST this
morning...

The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect until 10 am EST this
morning.

Areas of freezing drizzle or freezing rain can still be expected
this morning. Temperatures were hovering around freezing early
this morning with areas of freezing drizzle occurring. However over
extreme northeast Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania a mixture of
rain and freezing rain was falling. The freezing drizzle or
freezing rain will taper off as a low pressure lifts moves
northeast across the region this morning.

Temperatures will fall later this morning and most of the area
will see a transition to some snow during the afternoon.

The accumulation of ice on trees and power lines should be light.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory is normally issued for a variety of
winter weather conditions such as light snow... sleet... and
freezing rain. While the weather will be significant... the word
advisory implies that severe winter weather is not anticipated.
